Mike Vukovcan Holiday basketball tournaments are a long-standing tradition in Western Pennsylvania and the Hopewell HS boys’ basketball program will be competing in one.
Starting tomorrow, HC Doug Biega’s squad will be taking part in the 34th annual Central Valley Roundball Holiday Classic.
Established in 1986, family owned and serving the Beaver County community for over 40 years. Serving breakfast favorites and lunch specials.
This is a two-day boys’ and girls’ event, with 16 games being played at Geneva College.
Hopewell’s two games will be against South Fayette; tipoff tomorrow will take place at 4 PM. Then on Tuesday, the Vikings will go up against Aliquippa with tipoff scheduled for 7 PM.
This will be a challenging two days for the Vikings for a couple of reasons:1) two high quality opponents 2) a large portion of the Hopewell roster has been battling the flu for the last 5 or 6 days. This will no doubt be a challenging week.
