Mike Vukovcan Tonight, the Hopewell Vikings HS softball team found out their 1st round opponent as the WPIAL released the playoff bracket for the 2025 Softball playoffs.
Hopewell head coach Ronda Koblek and her Viking players found out they were given the No. 10 seed and will take on No. 7 Southmoreland in the opening round.
That game will take place on Tuesday at 7 PM from Trinity High School.
If Hopewell is able to win that game, they would then take on No. 2 seed Mohawk.
The top four seeds were: No. 1 South Park, No. 2 Mohawk, No. 3 Ellwood City and No. 4 Avonworth.
Keep in mind, Hopewell just defeated No. 3 seed Ellwood City, 6-1. Before that, they lost to No. 2 Avonworth, 11-5 but went to the last inning leading, 5-4.
