Today, Hopewell senior right-handed pitcher David Medich announced that he’ll be taking his talents to get an education and continue to play baseball at Thiel College.

Medich has been a huge part of the Vikings program over the past 3 seasons, including serving as the closer on the Hopewell 2023 WPIAL Championship winning team. After serving as the closer as a sophomore, Medich moved into the Hopewell starting rotation for his junior and senior season.
David has routinely been someone that Coach Singletary and the coaching staff could rely on to take the ball and give them a good effort.
Wanted to also point out that aside from being a leader on the field, Medich was someone that interacted well and was a tremendous mentor to young players in the program.
Vikings Sports Now wants to wish David all the best in his college career and thank him for everything he did for Hopewell Baseball.
