Vikings Sports Now had the opportunity to sit-in and watch the Hopewell HS wrestling team for a practice Tuesday night.
Tonight, the Vikings will take on Freedom in a home match, so best of luck!
We appreciate Hopewell HC Brett Smith allowing myself and VSN photographer Ed Thompson the access to observe a practice. Wrestling is no doubt one of the most physically and mentally demanding sports that you can compete in.
It’s not possible to participate in this sport without guts, a work ethic, toughness and discipline. Hats off to the 20+ wrestlers on the high school team and the 70+ participants in the Hopewell wrestling programs.
