Soccer is a growing sport in Hopewell as more and more boys and girls are participating.
As these kids do so and the numbers grow, the various youth programs are having success on the field. Over the weekend, that was certainly the case with a couple of Hopewell youth teams.

The U10 Hopewell Panthers defeated Chartiers Valley by the score of 2-1. This was this team’s first win this season so a big shoutout to the players and coaches. Prior to this, a majority of the matches were decided by just 1 or 2 goals so it’s great to see the score finally go the way of Hopewell.
This will be the team’s second year together and half the team are actually playing up an age bracket, many of the 7-year-olds would still qualify for the U8 team.
The Vikings goal scorers were Chase Bajek and Coby Redman, and the goalies were Cam Winiarski and Evan Russman.
In other action, the Hopewell U10B Hopewell Wolfpack defeated Montour, 7-3. Goal scorers were Adam Cole, Hunter Noyes, Max Holsinger (2), Maddox Kennedy and Nico Crognale. In the net for Hopewell were Evan Russman and Declan Snyder.
With the win, the Hopewell Wolfpack improved their win to 2-1-1 and they’ll look to build off this win as they move into the second half of the indoor season.
