ALIQUIPPA– Hopewell coach pitch (Team Daley) is wrapping up their 2025 season and are currently involved in two seeding games before starting the playoffs.
After losing earlier in the week to Freedom, it was important to rebound with a win and that’s exactly what they did.
The Vikings went on the road and came away with an impressive 13-0 win over Aliquippa.
Coach Daley’s team banged out 21 hits and 6 extra base hits. Leading the way with 4 hits were Cam Baker and Brady Daley (2 doubles). Hudson Lavia and Will Vukovcan had 3 hit apiece, while Adley Faust, Will Stewart and Max Kokan each had 2 hits.
Congrats to Vukovcan who had a career best game collecting 7 RBIs thanks to 2 doubles and 1 triple.
Other RBI getters for Hopewell were Kokan with 2, Daley with 2, Baker with 1 and Hudson Lavia with 1.
Hopewell played solid defense with Harper Lavia making three plays from pitcher. The Vikings also turned a double play as Vukovcan caught a ball at 3rd baseman and threw across the diamond to Daley to double off the runner who was breaking towards second base.
Coach Daley’s team finished the regular season with a record of 6-6-1 and await to learn their 1st round opponent in the Beaver County Playoffs. Good luck to Team Daley and all of Hopewell’s Coach Pitch teams.
After the game, the team celebrated their big win with ice cream at Bruster’s!!
