HC Morgan Singletary and his Hopewell Vikings baseball program picked up a big win on Monday as they defeated Blackhawk, 3-2, on Senior Day.
The win moved Hopewell into a second-place tie with Blackhawk, with both teams holding a section record of 7-4.

By picking up the win, Hopewell still has a chance at sharing the section title with Beaver and it makes this afternoon’s game essentially a battle for second place.
In order for Hopewell to earn a share of the section championship, they’ll need to win today and need North Catholic to beat Beaver.
Looking back at Monday’s win, the game was tied at 2 in the bottom of the 6th inning, when Hopewell grabbed the lead with Jayvion Lindsey scoring on a 2-out passed ball.
Senior right-hander Kingston Krotec was on the mound for Hopewell and pitched a complete game to pick up the win.
