Plenty of great things are going on in Hopewell athletics including the latest with the High School Boys and Girls Bowling Team.
In their season finale today against Nazareth Prep, the both Viking teams won which carry plenty of significance.
The Boys victory means that they finished the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record! The Girls also were victorious which means they finish the season 6-4. That’s important because it’s their first winning season since 2018!
Congrats to all the bowlers and to Head Coach Stan Magusiak, who’s done a tremendous job leading this program.
So what’s next?
The Boys have already qualified for the playoffs and will find out on Sunday their first round opponent.
As far as the Girls, their future is still undetermined and they’ll learn their fate following the match between West Allegheny and Ambridge. Qualifying for the playoffs would be a huge accomplishment for these ladies.
Keep your fingers crossed!
The other big news today is that a number of Vikings qualified for the Individual WPIAL Playoffs.
Congrats to Annabeth Sembower, Daniel Earley, Aidan Heppner, Ayden Gault and Max Butter as they achieved the honor of making the playoffs! The freshman Butter rolled a 233 to qualify.
Great job Vikings and Vikings Sports Now will have updated playoff information this weekend.
