Hopewell QB James Armstrong to Attend College Spring Practice Tomorrow

0 49 1 minutes read

Hopewell sophomore James Armstrong is a busy kid, and he’d have it no other way.

Armstrong recently concluded his high school basketball season, helping Hopewell to their best season in 15 years.

Currently, Armstrong started practicing with the Vikings HS baseball team and is expected to be a key contributor for HC Morgan Singletary’s program in 2026.

With all that being said, football is still Armstrong’s top sport and that will keep him busy tomorrow as he tells Vikings Sports Now that he will be in Morgantown, WV tomorrow to attend a West Virgina spring practice.

HC Rich Rodriguez and the Mountaineers staff have made Armstrong a big priority for their Class of 2028, so he’ll get a chance to watch a practice up close and personal.

This won’t be his first trip to West Virginia’s campus as last year Armstrong made a GameDay visit late in the season.

Considering where he stands with the Pitt football staff, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Armstrong make a trip to the South Side in the near future in order to take in a Pitt practice.

Armstrong (6’3″, 225-pounds) was recently named the No. 1 2028 dual-threat quarterback in Pennsylvania and one of the top 10 in the country by QBHitList.com.
