We had a dramatic ending to a basketball game here in Hopewell that we wanted to let you know about.
Earlier this week, the Hopewell 7th grade boys’ basketball team took on Sewickley Academy.
The game was tied at 29-29 when Trey Dushac was fouled attempting a 3-point shot. So, Trey went to the free throw line with a chance to win the game for Hopewell.
Hopewell 7th grade team beats Sewickley academy with 1 second left. Tied at 29-29, Trey Dushac goes for a 3 and is fouled. He goes to the line for a make to win the game.
Trey gets the job done and sinks a free throw.
This team hasn’t won many games this season, but this was a well-deserved and much needed win for this group of boys and coaches.
