Quincy Sannan and Aaden Gonzalez are headed to the US Youth Soccer Regionals after helping their 2009 FC Pittsburgh team secure the State Cup Championship win in overtime!
FC Pittsburgh teammates for nearly six years, Quincy and Aaden played pivotal roles through the month-long tournament. Despite entering unseeded, their FC squad battled through the bracket, upsetting three top-ranked and high-league opponents to earn their place at Regionals, which are set for June 28-July 3 in Virginia, where they will represent PA West.
In Sunday’s championship match, both Quincy and Aaden were players in the win. Quincy contributed a crucial assist for the first goal of the game and then added a goal as well.
Meanwhile, Aaden was a steady force in the midfield and added the game-winning assist at the end.
With the win, their team secures a spot among the region’s best, continuing an impressive postseason run with hopes of a national run.
