As Vikings Sports Now has done for the last few weeks, let’s take a look at some sporting events that kids in Hopewell were involved in over the weekend.
Now that team sports within the school are over with, many boys and girls are taking part in travel leagues, AAU or club sports.”
Vikings Sports Now wants to recognize them and let you know about their accomplishments.

HOPEWELL NEWS AND NOTES FROM MAY 31st/June 1st:
*Hopewell 8th grader Connor Reed and his Pittsburgh Diamond Dawg teammates finished their 2025 Spring season in style over the weekend. Reed and his teammates won the All-American Diamond Open, which was their second consecutive tournament win.
Connor pitched 3 innings of relief in the second game allowing just 1 hit and 0 runs. Connor pitched 3 innings in relief the 2nd game allowing 1 hit and 0 runs. Connor also got it done with his bat as he started a 2-out rally in the Top of the 7th with a 2-out single that led to a string of runs and the Dawgs putting the game away.
Connor is just one of the many young talented players in the Hopewell baseball program.

*The Hopewell Soccer Club’s U10 Girls team was in action yesterday and defeated Seneca Valley by the score of 6-2. Goals were scored by Addison Armour, Kendal Kaminski (2), Aara Walker, Kali Mann and Libby Kokan.

*Desmond Sembower and his BC United team (2011 boys) had a successful weekend as they advanced to the finals at the Coaster Classic Tournament in Sandusky, Ohio. Unfortunately, they lost 1-0 in the championship game but it was still a tremendous weekend!

*The Hopewell U17 boys soccer team closed out their season with a 2-2 hard-fought tie against Avonworth. Aaden Gonzalez found the back of the net twice, with both goals assisted from Caine Sullivan. With the spring season now complete, the Hopewell players aren’t taking a break and will continue preparing for the upcoming Hopewell High School 2025 soccer season.
