HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP– It Senior Day as the Hopewell HS Softball team hosted Quaker Valley in a section game.
As we’ve written a number of times, this is an extremely young Vikings team as evidenced by the fact that there’s only 1 senior on this 2026.

Allison Ramaley is Hopewell’s lone senior and she led by example this afternoon as Hopewell came away with a 10-4 victory over QV. With the win, the Vikings improve to 3-4 in the section.
Ramaley pitched a complete game, going 7 innings, allowing 4 runs (only earned runs), walking 0 batters and striking out 5.
This was an extremely tight game, in fact, the game was tied 1-1 heading to the bottom of the 5th inning. In the 5th and 6th innings, Hopewell put up 9 runs to put this game out of reach.
In that 5th inning, Hopewell took the lead on an RBI fielder’s choice by Gianna Rossi. Then with 2 outs, Izzy Mutkus singled to drive in Rossi, which was followed by a bases loaded walk by Teagan Scully. Next up, Marina Pinchotti singled in Dakota Roche and the final run of the five-run inning scored on a QV error. Hopewell led 6-1 after 5 innings.
QV scored 3 runs in the top of the 6th to cut Hopewell’s lead to 6-4 but the Vikings responded with a four-run bottom of the 6th.
Rossi smacked a 2-run RBI double to bring in Abigail Babinsack and Lillian Otto. Following a single by Claire Sarkis, Dakota Roche increased the Hopewell lead to 9-4 with an RBI single, which scored Rossi. The final run came across the plate on a fielder’s choice grounder by Scully.

Taking a look at the Hopewell box score, freshman Lillian Otto led the way with 3 hits and a walk. Dakota Roche and Babinsack picked up 2 hits and 1 RBI apiece. Pinchotti, Ramaley, Rossi, Sarkis, Mutkus and Scully each had a hit.
These two teams will meet up again on Thursday, but before then, Hopewell will travel to West Allegheny on Wednesday for a non-section game.
