A big congratulations this morning to Hopewell sophomore Annabeth Sembower.
Yesterday at the Women’s WPIBL Championship in Mt. Lebanon, Sembower had an outstanding match and thus has qualified to compete next week in PA Western Regional Finals.
Sembower and 80 other bowlers were competing yesterday with the objective of finishing in the Top 40, which allow them to advance to the PA Western Regional Finals.
Mission Accomplished for Annabeth!
The hard work of practicing and ultimately getting better paid off as Sembower has made tremendous year to year growth and left no doubt about qualifying yesterday shooting a 468 and finishing 32nd overall in the tournament and 7th among all sophomores.
The mission now for Annabeth is to attempt to qualify for the PA State Finals.
In other Hopewell High School Bowling news, Sembower will be joined at the PA Western Regional Finals on Friday by senior Daniel Earley, who qualified on the men’s bracket.
Next Saturday, the Hopewell Lady Vikings team will be competing at the Team Regional Finals, while on Sunday, the Men’s team will do the same.
Best of luck to all of the Hopewell bowlers!
