Credit to the men and women in Hopewell that have been dedicated to building the sport in our town and getting kids to play at the grass roots level and these boys and girls are sticking with the sport.

A lot of kids that started soccer at the youth level in Hopewell were in action on Monday as the Boys Junior High team had their season opener against perennial power Sewickley Academy.
The Vikings showed grit as they trailed 2-0 but fought back to tie Sewickley Academy, 2-2.
Hopewell goal scorers were 7th graders Dominic Short and CJ Perry.
Defensively, goal keepers Josh Sutton and Michael Colesar made big saves to keep the match with reach.
Co-captain and sweeper Colden Welte won several 1v1 battles to prevent shots on net.
The Hopewell Boys junior high team will be back on the field Wednesday as they host Beaver at 4:45 PM.
