The Hopewell Girls High School Basketball Team hosted Central Valley in an intense matchup on Monday night.
Despite a slow start, the Vikings kept their poise and responded strong, displaying solid teamwork and timely scoring over the final three quarters.
Led by standout performances from Avery Boyd, Addison Blosnick, and Lily Enders, Hopewell battled from start to finish and secured a convincing win that could help turn their season around.
Boyd opened the scoring off a feed from Ava Ray, but Hopewell trailed 2–9 at the end of a quiet first quarter.
The Vikings came alive in the second quarter, with Enders, Blosnick, Boyd, and Allison Ramaley all contributing. Key layups and free throws helped Hopewell take an 18–17 lead into halftime.
Boyd and Ray knocked down three-pointers to start the third, while Enders, Ramaley, and Blosnick added points in the paint and at the line. Hopewell extended the lead to 41–26 by the end of the third quarter.
The final quarter highlighted Hopewell’s strong ball movement and efficient finishing. Blosnick led the way with multiple layups and free throws as the Vikings closed out the game, earning a 49–37 victory.
