Hopewell’s Sheffield Juniors End of Season Bowling Banquet

Sheffield Juniors Bowling held their end-of-season banquet on Saturday (5/1) morning.

This season, there were 49 bowlers (aged 8 years through 18 years) in the Sheffield Juniors League. The just-ended season ran for 32 weeks (3 game series each week for a total of 96 games) on Saturday mornings at Sheffield Lanes from September through Apri.

Coaches were Mark Sembower, Adam Loverich, Megan Heppner and Eric Popovich. Additional league staff included Adam McBridge (counter help and lane maintenance), Debbie Thompson (snack sales) and Jeannie D’Agostino (league administration).

The Banquet began with a bowling and pizza party, courtesy of Sheffield Lanes and Ricky Dee’s Pizza, followed by the awards presentation.

Individual Medals were awarded to all bowlers.  These medals are personalized and engraved with each bowler’s average, high scratch game, and high scratch series.

Perfect Attendance Awards were given to:

Boys, Most Improved: Ayden Gault, +30 (Thomas Turino +29, Desmond Sembower +28)

Girls, Most Improved: Krysten Clary, +21 (Lenora Heppner +19, Sofia Cronin +18)

Second Place Team: Ryan Ault, John Leitschaft, Aidan Heppner, Ayden Gault

First Place Team: Max Butter, Nolan Houy, Thomas Turino, Joe Bulebush

Finally, the league would like to recognize outgoing staff member Debbie Thompson for her contributions to the league over the past 6 years.  Thank you, Debbie!
