HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP– 10 days from now the Hopewell High School Girls Volleyball team will open their 2025 season with the goal of advancing one step further than they did a year ago.

Head coach Terry Borkovic’s program advanced all the way to the WPIAL Class AA Championship match before losing to rival Quaker Valley.

Despite graduating 5 seniors, Reese Murray, Jordan Sirianni, Alyssa Spang, Mena Catanzarite and Kaidence McArdle, Hopewell will be returning a talented roster and should once again be a contender in AA.

This morning Vikings Sports Now attended Hopewell’s practice as they prepared for a scrimmage tomorrow against Upper St. Clair. That match will take place at Hopewell High School starting at 10 AM.

Walking into practice, the first thing I noticed was how many players were on the court, from my count, it looked like close to 40. That’s what happens when you have the success that this program has enjoyed under Coach Borkovic. Kids want to be a part of it and want to play volleyball, which is a good thing.

During practice, VSN had a chance to talk to Coach Borkovic about a number of topics, including his thoughts on this year’s team.
