If your child is looking to improve their baseball skills, Vikings Sports Now has something you might want to look into.
Former Hopewell High School and soon to be Mercyhurst catcher Charlie Smetana is looking to work with young players on their games.
Prior to leaving for college later this summer, Smetana is offering private hitting and catching lessons for players ages 7 and up.
“Baseball has given me so much over the years, and I’m excited for the opportunity to give back to the next generation of players,” says Smetana. “Through many years of playing the game and having the privilege to learn from some outstanding coaches along the way, I’ve gained valuable hitting and catching tips, techniques, and lessons that helped me grow both on and off the field. I would love to pass that knowledge on to young athletes who are looking to improve their skills and build confidence in the game.”
“I care deeply about baseball and helping the youth in our community continue to develop, compete, and prepare for the next level, whatever that may be. Whether your player is just getting started or looking to take their game to new heights, I’d love to work with them.”
This is a great opportunity for your child to work with a young man that he can relate to and feel comfortable around. More importantly, it’s a chance to get help and advice from a player that worked extremely hard to become a D-1 athlete.
If you give Charlie a call, please mention you heard about this on Vikings Sports Now.
