Mike Vukovcan After a challenging stretch of games to open the season, the Hopewell Vikings began a stretch of games last night where they’ll be overwhelming favorites.
The objective of these games will be to take care of business in the first half, stay healthy and to get the second team players valuable varsity experience.
Hopewell accomplished that last night as they overwhelmed Western Beaver, 47-6.
The 47 points were a season high for Hopewell and it’s the second consecutive week that they’ve allowed just 6 points.
Hopewell jumped out to a 41-0 halftime lead, with two of the touchdowns coming from the defense.
Hopewell Touchdowns:
-Maddox Fattore 30-yard fumble return.
-James Armstrong 36-yard TD pass to Brody Rock on 4th and 22.
-Tre Cameron 30-yard interception return for touchdown.
-Nasir Wade 62-yard TD run.
-James Armstrong 21-yard TD pass to Tre Cameron.
-James Armstrong 39-yard TD pass to Avery Bokor.
-Dom Boris 10-yard TD run.
Because of the size of the halftime lead, Hopewell HC Matt Mottes showed sportsmanship along with rewarding his entire roster by only playing starters for two quarters.

Nasir Wade: 4 rushes for 117 yards, TD

Avery Bokor: 3 catches for 121 yards, TD
Brody Rock: 1 catch for 36 yards, TD
Tre Cameron: 1 catch for 21 yards, TD.
Hopewell will return to the field next Friday as they travel to Beaver, a team they’ve struggled against over the years. The Vikings will return home on October 9th when they take on Ellwood City.
