Mike Vukovcan More good news concerning sports teams in the Hopewell School District.
Congratulations to head coach Stan Magusiak and the Hopewell Girls HS Bowling team as they learned today that they have received a wildcard berth to the WPIBL Team Bowling Championships!
Congratulations ladies on this huge achievement as it’s the first time since 2017 that the Hopewell girls have qualified for the playoffs. The Lady Vikings were able to be in this position following their season ending victory earlier this week over Nazareth Prep. The Vikings finished 6-4 which gave them their first winning season since 2018.
This one-day tournament will take place this coming Thursday in Mt. Lebanon.
Vikings Sports Now wanted to recognize the girls on the Hopewell HS Girls Bowling team: senior captains Marissa Platko and Jenna Willy. Seniors Bayley Carmichael and Gia Krayniewski, Desiree Shepherd. Sophomores Annabeth Sembower, Krysten Clary and Danica Jackson.

Once again, congratulations and best of luck to both of Hopewell’s bowling teams (Boys and Girls) which will be looking to bring home a championship.
