Mike Vukovcan With baseball season coming to a close, it’s getting closer and closer to football season.
Head coach Matt Mottes and the Vikings High School football program have been working, conducting off-season workouts. They have also been competing in some 7-on-7 competition.
The high school team aren’t the only ones getting ready to put on pads.
The Hopewell Youth Football League is also preparing and getting ready for their upcoming season.
With that in mind, here are some important upcoming dates for parents of players to remember.
IMPORTANT DATES FOR HOPEWELL YOUTH FOOTBALLÂ
-Registration Closes on June 30th
-Conditioning Will Begin on July 7th thru July 17th. Monday thru Thursday from 6 PM until 8 PM at the Hopewell Junior High practice fields.
-All required verification documents need to be turned by July 17th.
-Mandatory Heat Week will be July 21st-July 25th from 6 PM until 8 PM at the Hopewell Junior High practice fields.
-Parent Meetings Will Be Held the Week of July 28th: Twerps on Monday (July 28th), Termites on Wednesday (July 30th) and Mighty Mites on Thursday (July 31st).
-Equipment will be passed out the week of July 14th. Please remember that parents will need a $150 postdated check (December 30, 2025) in order to receive your equipment.
