Mike Vukovcan Believe it or not, we’re slowly inching towards the start of another football season here in Hopewell.
The Hopewell HS football players are currently having weightlifting sessions a couple of times a week before they start voluntary workouts in the next couple of months.
The youth program in Hopewell is having an upcoming camp that Vikings Sports Now wanted to let you know about.
Coming up on May 29th and 30th, there will be youth football camp taking place at Tony Dorsett Stadium.
This 2-day event will run from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm and is available for any child entering Kindergarten through 6th grade for the 2026-27 school year.
The Hopewell Youth Football staff and coaches, along with some of the varsity team will be providing the instructions. The kids attending will learn football techniques, skills, and fundamentals of safe play. This is a tremendous opportunity for kids to get introduced to the sport, learn techniques and to meet and get taught by some members of the varsity team that they’ll be watching on Friday nights!
All kids that pre-register will receive a t-shirt but must be registered by May 13th. The cost is only $12 per participant.
