Hopewell Softball Bats Stay Hot, Defeat Central Valley, 10-8

Hopewell- For the second straight game, the Hopewell softball teams bats were red-hot, which led them to a 10-8 win over Central Valley.

A game after pounding out 17 hits against Quaker Valley, the Lady Viking hitters put up 15 hits today against CV.

Three Hopewell batters collected 3 hits apiece- Allison Ramaley, Abigail Babinsack and Gianna Rossi.

Claire Sarkis continued her hot hitting as she picked up 2 hits, while Lillian Otto, Hazil McCowin, Marina Pinchotti and Teagan Scully each had one hit.

RBI collectors for Hopewell included Babinsack (4), Ramaley (2), Scully (1) and Rossi (1).

The key inning for Hopewell was the bottom of the second, when they put up 5 runs to grab a 7-3 lead and never trailed after that.

Taking a look at the pitching line for Hopewell, Ramaley got the start and went 3 innings, allowing 9 hits, 4 earned runs and struck out one.

Ellasaundra Hartle took over in the 4th and went the rest of the way (4 innings, 4 hits, 1 earned run and struck out 2).

Hopewell returns to the field tomorrow in a huge game at Ellwood City, which will be a battle for third place.
