Following their first-round win over Mount Pleasant, the Hopewell Vikings have learned the location of their quarterfinal game.
Saturday night, the WPIAL announced that the Hopewell vs. North Catholic matchup will take Friday night at Chartiers Valley High School.
There was some talk and belief that this game would be played someplace in Beaver County but that’s not going to be the case as the Vikings will make a return trip to Bridgeville. In Week 2, the Vikings traveled to Chartiers Valley HS and defeated the Colts, 35-20.
The Vikings will be taking on North Catholic, a team that defeated Beaver last night, 21-0. The Trojans will enter the game with a record of 8-3, winners of 8 straight games.
These two teams played an entertaining game last season with North Catholic coming away with a 44-36 win. However, the biggest difference is North Catholic graduated talented quarterback Joey Felitisky, while Hopewell returns their quarterback, James Armstrong.
