The Hopewell Area School Board will hold their regular scheduled meeting tomorrow evening, and it will be well attended.
A group of local leaders as well as concerned citizens will be in attendance and plan on speaking to members of the school board concerning an issue that concerns them and many in the Hopewell community.
A group of parents, coaches, teachers as well as a former Hopewell athlete will be sharing their concerns on how the new building design of new schools in our district will be affecting school sports and physical education.
After meeting, discussing and gathering proper data and relevant information, this group led Andrew Honess will be providing the Hopewell School Board with some of the data they’ve gathered and hope the board and the Hopewell administration will consider, look over and in the near future discuss with these concerns.
In a well thought out manner, this group has summarized their thoughts on how these new school buildings will be impacting youth activities, reducing their availabilities and the amount of time kids have during the day in physical education classes.
If you would like to listen to this discussion or to just voice your own concerns, the meeting will take place Tuesday evening at 7 PM in the Hopewell Administration Office of the Jr. High School (entrance off Broadhead Road). Please enter through the front entrance where the administration offices are.
“Come to the meeting and be part of the process of determining the future of Hopewell Schools,” Honess tells Vikings Sports Now.
