Mike Vukovcan HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP- Hopewell High School and Junior High isn’t the only baseball being played in Hopewell.
The action down at the Kane Road Complex has gotten underway this week and we have a game recap from a Hopewell Coach Pitch Team involving Hopewell S2S vs. Ambridge 4.

This is where it all starts as these players are no longer hitting off tees and are attempting to hit for the first time from a coach pitching to them.

The games are no doubt long but fun as you watch these players trying to hit and make plays and outs in the field!
Enzo Markowitz collected went 5 for 5 as Hopewell S2S defeated Ambridge 16-7 last night. Markowitz collected singles in the 1st and 2nd innings and doubled in the 4th and 6th innings.
Ambridge took the lead in the 1st inning, but Hopewell responded by scoring 5 runs on 7 hits in the 2nd inning to take a 5-2 lead. The big hit in that inning was a double by Cohen Biller, which drove in 2 runs.
In the 3rd inning, Maverick Linza came through with an RBI single to increase Hopewell’s lead to 6-3.
The Vikings then broke the game open in the 6th inning as they scored 6 runs on 9 hits.
–Gunner Mack came through with an RBI single
–Jake Brunton also laced an RBI single
–Maverick Linza picked up his second RBI single of the night
–Michael Linza continued the scoring with an RBI single
–Enzo Markowitz then capped things with a 2-run double.
For the evening, Hopewell S2S picked up 35 hits in the game as Lorenzo Ferrozzutti, Sheamus Riley, Eli Rogers, Michael Linza, Luka Pierce, Gunnar Mack, Jake Brunton and Cohen Biller all had multiple hits in this game.
After the game, Hopewell HC Brandon Mack told his players, “Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose!”
