IMPERIAL– The Hopewell Girls Junior High basketball teams went on the road this afternoon against West Allegheny, and both the 7th and 8th teams came away with impressive wins.

In the 7th grade contest, the story of the game was Hopewell’s Rilynn Davis as she was virtually unstoppable. The talent guard poured in a career-high 30 points leading the Vikings to a 45-20 win over West A.

Davis has the ability to get points from outside along with driving in the lane and today, which was the case today.

Also contributing offensively for the Lady Vikings were Isla Rock with 7, Neveah Pope with 4 and Callie Sadler with 2. Very productive offensive game for Hopewell as they averaged 11 points per quarter. Also, want to point out that Hopewell’s team defense was outstanding and it was a total team win.

The Hopewell 8th graders kept up their winning ways as they came out ahead this afternoon by a score of 37-27.

Most of their points came in the first and fourth period, which means they started strong and ended strong.

Amiyah Shell led the way with 12 points and Ellie McCoy had 9. Other contributors were Arionna Shell with 8 points, Afton Budris with 6 and Dallas Boyd with 2.

The Hopewell girls’ junior high teams play at home on Monday as they take on the Beaver Bobcats.

Nice job today Vikings!
