Mike Vukovcan This 2025 Hopewell HS Girls Volleyball team entered the season with multiple goals that they hoped to accomplish.
The first goal was to win the regular season section championship, which was accomplished on Wednesday night with their dramatic 5-set match with OLSH.
There’s still plenty more to accomplish and this afternoon, Coach Borkovic and his players found out the path to accomplish goal #2- making a return trip to the WPIAL Championship match. The obvious 3rd goal is to go one step further than they did a year ago and win the WPIAL Championship.
Friday afternoon, the WPIAL revealed the brackets for the upcoming Girls Volleyball playoffs and Hopewell was named the No. 1 seed in Class 2A.
Things will get underway for Hopewell next week, when they host a 1st round matchup on Tuesday against the winner of McGuffey/Char-Houston, which will be played over the weekend. Hopewell’s match on Tuesday will start at 7:30 PM.
Prior to Hopewell’s match, Neshannock will take on South Park at 6 pm.
If they’re able to advance, they would then host the next match on against the winner of  Brownsville vs. Burrell on Thursday.
