Hopewell freshman quarterback James Armstrong received some exciting recruiting news this afternoon as he received a scholarship offer.
Armstrong announced that his latest offer came from the Delaware State Hornets, which becomes his 4th D-1 offer (Pitt, Akron and Sacramento State) and his first HBCU offer.
The interesting part of about this offer from Delaware State is their new head coach is former NFL star wide receiver DeSean Jackson. The electrifying wide receiver became the latest former NFL standout to get into college coaching, joining Eddie George, Michael Vick and Deion Sanders.
‘Booboo’ received some more news as the Michigan State Spartans coaches invited him to attend a Prospects Camp this summer at East Lansing.
In the last month, Armstrong has also received invites to attend football camps at Indiana, Northwestern, Rutgers and Michigan.
This past season, Armstrong accounted for 2131 all-purpose yards and 25 touchdowns in his first year of varsity action. Considering the returning talent and the addition of talented Aliquippa freshman running back Nasir “Bruiser” Wade, the Hopewell offense has a chance to be lethal in 2025.
