The Hopewell HS baseball team moved one step closer to advancing to the WPIAL baseball championship game with a 7-1 win Monday night over Valley.
This was a total team win as the Vikings received gutsy pitching from Kingston Krotec, timely hitting from Charlie Smetana, Logan Triscila, James Gill, etc. and outstanding defense from Drew Donovan and especially Ben McDonald, who made at least 3 above average catches.
