The Pitt Panther baseball team is off to a great start and that continued on Friday with a 20-1 win over San Jose State, which was Pitt’s largest margin of victory since May of 2024.
The win was the Panthers 6th in a row, their longest winning streak since 2021 and it improved their overall record to 10-2.
Former Hopewell standout Anthony LaSala hasn’t been a starter this season however, when he’s been called upon, LaSala has delivered for Pitt HC Mike Bell.
Whether it’s been run-producing hit, a suicide squeeze or just steady defense, LaSala has delivered for his team.
That continued yesterday as he was called upon to pinch-hit in the 6th inning and delivered a home run to left field. This was his first HR of the season and 3rd of his career.
