It was a tremendous week and near record month of traffic on Vikings Sports Now.
Although we still have one more day left, let’s look back at the month of June. Despite it being a month where there are no school sports happening, VSN nearly had a record month of traffic.
We had our second-best month of traffic to date with nearly 10,000 page views. Thank you, Hopewell!
Our most viewed story of the month were stories that dealt with individual athletes in Hopewell- Julian Baldwin, Avery Bokor, Aiden Gonzalez, Tre Cameron, along with a game recap from Hopewell 7-on-7 football action.
Now taking a look at this past week, something very encouraging happened.
For the first time ever, the most viewed aspect of the week was viewers clicking directly to our home page to view the site. Normally, people are directed to VSN through links of stories they see on Facebook or Twitter. However, that wasn’t the case this week as they were coming to the website on their own to see what we had published. I can’t tell you how encouraging that it is. That’s a definite sign of progress.
Rome wasn’t built in a day and that’s also the case with trying to build a successful website. But if you’re dedicated, can think out of the box and are in it for the right reasons, it can be done. Just like Pittsburgh Sports Now, West Virginia Sports Now and Nittany Sports Now; Vikings Sports Now will become a successful website.
We’ll wrap things up by looking at our five most viewed stories of this past week.
