South Side- Games in the 9–10-year-old league, where kids are just starting to learn how to pitch, came sometimes be long and filled with many walks and errors.
That’s only natural since this is their first real introduction to baseball as for the first time they’re pitching for the first time, batters are facing pitching from an opposing player, and they’re now expected to make defensive plays in the field.
Established in 1986, family owned and serving the Beaver County community for over 40 years. Serving breakfast favorites and lunch specials.
In other words, these kids are playing real baseball.

I’ve been watching baseball in Hopewell for many years and last night, I had the pleasure of watching one of more entertaining and well played games that I’ve witnessed in a long time.

Here are some impressive numbers- 1) game was played in under 2 hours 2) Hopewell picked up 14 hits and only allowed 8. 3) Hopewell pitchers allowed only 4 walks.
