Assistant Coach Dwight Hines Talks First Season with Hopewell Basketball

Successful head coaches in any sport often times surround themselves with talented assistant coaches and that’s what Doug Biega did soon after becoming named head coach of the Hopewell HS boys basketball program.

Biega assembled one of the top staffs in the WPIAL, many of them being men he’s had personal history with.

Biega hired Mike Sims, Donovan Jeter, Javon Turner, EJ Coleman, Kaden Vandevert and Dwight Hines.

Hines was a huge get considering his success as a head coach at both Aliquippa and Sto-Rox. This afternoon, Vikings Sports Now had the opportunity to talk with Hines about a number of topics, including tomorrow’s matchup against Central Valley.
