Mike Vukovcan The Hopewell Lady Vikings Volleyball team placed 3rd in the Moon Volleyball Tournament on Saturday.
Sixteen teams participated with 4 pools of four teams. The Hopewell girls finished pool play with a record of 4 wins and 2 losses.

Following that, the Lady Vikings earned the fifth seed for the playoffs and here were the playoff results.

Hopewell’s Bella Ceccarelli was named to the All-Tournament team but was not available for the playoffs as she was held out for the rest of the tournament as a precautionary measure for a lower body injury. Fortunately, the injury does not appear to be serious. Sophomore setter Teagan Murray stepped up and did a phenomenal job of running the offense in Ceccarelli’s place.
“Our goal was to play in the final, but we came up one set short,” said Hopewell head coach Terry Borkovic. “I’m proud of our girls. We competed very well against some very tough AAA programs.”
