HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP- Traffic jams leaving Hopewell HS boys basketball games don’t happen very often, if ever, but that was the case tonight.
Not one person of the standing room only crowd left early as this game literally went down to the last second with Hopewell coming away with a 69-66 win over Central Valley.
The win was Hopewell’s 13th of the season and 5th in the section. If Hopewell is able to defeat Ambridge on Friday night (Senior Night) and if 1st place Quaker Valley defeats Central Valley, Hopewell would end the season in 2nd place. The nice thing about that is, I believe, 1st and 2nd place teams host first-round playoff games.

After the game, Vikings Sports Now was in the locker room and had the chance to talk with senior Nick Adams along with sophomores Brody Rock and James Armstrong. Rock finished the game with an unofficial 26 points; Armstrong was a beast down low and for Adams, this was special since he’ll be playing in his first playoff game in his senior season with Hopewell.
