Hopewell sophomore quarterback James Armstrong has picked up his 4th Power Four offer.

While on an unofficial visit to today’s West Virginia/Texas Tech game, Armstrong received an offer from Rich Rodriguez and West Virginia.

The 6’3”, 225-pound Armstrong now holds offers from West Virginia, Pitt, Penn State, North Carolina, Kent State and Sacramento State.

In his sophomore season, Armstrong threw for over 2,300 yards, rushed for 760 yards and combined for 37  touchdowns.

Armstrong plays in a similar offense to Rodriguez’s offensive scheme and would be an ideal fit.

Armstrong will enter the 2026 season as one of the top quarterbacks in Pennsylvania and a likely future 4-star recruit.
