It’s that time of the season where our athletes in Hopewell are involved in more than just school sports.
In an attempt to not only be active but to get better, boys and girls in Hopewell are taking part in travel leagues, AAU leagues and others.
Vikings Sports Now wants to recognize thema and let you know about their accomplishments so at least once a week, we’ll post their accomplishments.
We posted this on Facebook, but if you’d like to send us information/pictures of your child, please do so by sending it on Facebook or you can text me, 724-462-5756.

*Hopewell 6th grader Rilynn Davis and Callie Sadler and their teammates on the Next Gen Elite team took part in the Legendz Jam Fest Tournament. Over the weekend, Davis, Sadler and their team finished 3-1 and won the Silver Bracket! Great job ladies!

*More travel basketball news involving players from Hopewell. Drill for Skill ‘The County” is coached by Hopewell senior Zach Kovell and one of his players is Hopewell 8th grader Zack Sampson. This team competed in the Legendz Jam Fest in Export, PA. Sampson’s team didn’t win but once again they played well as they competed against plenty of other talented teams. Sampson racked up a number of assists and played outstanding defense, something that will be key next season when he moves to the Hopewell High School program. Sampson’s squad consists of 2 players from Blackhawk, 1 from West Allegheny, 1 from Shenango, 2 from Moon and 3 from Central Valley.
