Hopewell Township-Despite shutting them out for the last 4 innings, Hopewell fell behind early and were never able to recover as North Catholic came away with an 11-3 win.
The killer inning was the second frame as North Catholic put up 7 runs, which iced the game.
The Lady Viking were able to double their hit total from their season opener against Neshannock as they collected 6 hits (Allison Ramaley 2 hits, Gianna Rossi 2 hits, Lillian Otto 1 hit and Dakota Roche 1 hit).

Hopewell also was able to draw 6 walks led by Abigail Babinsack and Addison Pavlisko, each with 2.
A big positive to take from the game was the performance of Ramaley on the mound. She entered the game in the 2nd inning and went on to finish the game, pitching 5.1 innings, allowing only 2 hits, 3 runs (0 earned runs).
RUN-SCORING FOR HOPEWELL:
*2nd Inning: Ramaley drove in Kamryn Roche to give Hopewell their 1st run.
*3rd Inning: Run No.2 came in as Rossi came through with an RBI single to left field, which scored Babinsack.
*6th Inning: The final run of the game for Hopewell came via Dakota Roche, who led off the inning with a bunt single and scored on a sacrifice fly to left.

Keep in mind, this is an extremely young team, so this will be a work in progress as they look to get acclimated to varsity softball and develop for the future.
Next up for Hopewell will a road game today (weather permitting) at Beaver Falls.
