HOPEWELL TWP– The Hopewell Vikings began their second day of two-a-day practices this morning at Tony Dorsett Stadium.
The team started this off at 10 AM and went until Noon before taking the next couple of hours off while getting a lunch break. After this two-hour layoff, the players will be back at it at 2 PM.
It’s actually game week (sort of) for Hopewell as they’ll travel to Farrell on Friday night for a scrimmage. Things get underway for real next Friday with the regular season opener against defending WPIAL champion Avonworth. Kickoff at Tony Dorsett Stadium is set for 7 PM.
The unquestioned strength for Hopewell this season will be the playmakers on the offensive side of the ball.
Junior 4-star quarterback James Armstrong will lead the way and will have the luxury of getting the ball to weapons such as Nasir Wade, Avery Bokor, Brody Rock, Tre Cameron, Tamar Tisdale, Maddox Fattore, etc.
Following this morning’s practice, Vikings Sports Now spoke with the man in charge of this potential juggernaut, offensive coordinator Zach Rosa.
