The Hopewell Vikings football team will be looking to start the season 2-0 for the first time since 2016 tomorrow night when they host New Castle.
This doesn’t look to be an easy assignment as New Castle defeated Hopewell last season 42-19 and are coming off a 13-0 shutout of Penn Hills last Friday.
In the latest rankings, WPIAL Insider has New Castle ranked as the No. 16 overall team in the entire WPIAL so the Vikings will have their hands full.
This afternoon, Vikings Sports Now had the chance to talk with Vikings HC Matt Mottes about this week’s opponent and also took a quick look back at last Friday’s season-opening win, 56-0 win over Riverside.
