Friday night, the Vikings will travel to take on No. 2 seed and undefeated Imani Christian. All season; Imani has been ranked No. 2 in Class AAA behind undefeated Avonworth.
Because they are the No. 2 seed, IC had a bye in first round of the playoffs.
There’s no way getting around it, this team is legit and full of not only talent but D-1 football talent. In fact, their two most talented players are 2027 4-star quarterback/defensive back Gabriel Jackson and 2026 4-star athlete David Davis. Both of those players were committed to Penn State but then opened up their recruitment following the firing of James Franklin.
It goes beyond those two players, as they have a handful of other players with D-1 scholarship offers.
During the regular season, Imani Christian outscored their opponents 476 to 66.
The task will be tall, but Hopewell will be ready and will be looking to do what many people feel isn’t possible.
