Mike Vukovcan Bridgeville– Coming into the 2026 season, everyone was well aware of the talent level of junior quarterback James Armstrong however early on this season we’re learning something.
Through two weeks of the WPIAL season, Armstrong’s top target junior wide receiver Avery Bokor looks like one of the best offensive weapons in the WPIAL.
After making 4 catches (2 of which were Randy Moss-like) for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns in the opening week against Avonworth, Bokor followed that up with a better performance last night.
In Hopewell’s 35-20 win over Chartiers Valley, Bokor caught 7 passes for 7 passes for 125 yards and 3 touchdowns. So, in two games, Bokor has 11 receptions for 266 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Oh yeah, the man getting him the ball, had a pretty good night himself as Armstrong was 16 of 25 for 280 yards, 4 touchdown passes, 0 interceptions, while also rushing for 95 yards.
