Hopewell 5th Grade Boys Advance to Finals of South Side Tournament

Starting on Saturday, the Hopewell 5th Grade boys travel basketball team started up action in the South Side Basketball Tournament.

The Vikings played in two games on Saturday as they took on Avella and Blackhawk. Hopewell lost both games- 19-17 to Avella and then 29-23 to Blackhawk.

However, the Vikings have rebounded in a big time way as elimination play opened up this morning.

Hopewell started the day by taking on West Allegheny and came away with a 31-7. That was followed by a 27-23 win over Blackhawk in the semifinals.

Next up is the championship game at 1 PM vs. Avella.
