Mike Vukovcan Vikings Sports Now is about all sports going on in Hopewell and attempt to cover as much as possible.
Here’s an update on the boy’s 5th grade travel team and their most recent game against Central Valley. On Thursday evening, the Vikings hosted Central Valley and came away with a 31-13 win. This was the boys first win of the travel season. Nice job men!
Hopewell got off to an 11-0 start and never looked back, later in the game, they also had a 10-0 run. Hopewell led 15-7 at halftime.
Some keys to victory were: 1) Defense, as Hopewell came away with 6 steals, including 3 by Logan G.  2) Rebounding, as Hopewell had 10 offensive rebounds leading to six second-chance points. 3) Crisp passing as Hopewell finished with 12 assists, led by Cooper B with 5.
