AMBRIDGE– Coming off a 9-4 win on Monday, the Hopewell HS JV baseball team was looking to win two in a row over Ambridge as the two teams met on Tuesday.

Unfortunately for the Vikings, they weren’t a sharp as they were in the opening game of the series and Ambridge hitters did a nice job of hitting, especially with 2 strikes. The Bridgers came away with a 7-4 win.

Ackerman went 3 innings, allowing 3 H, 2 R (1 ER) and 2 K’s.

Vukovcan got the start and went 3 innings, striking out 4. He was getting ahead in the count on Ambridge hitters, but they did an excellent job of hitting with 2 strikes.
