The San Rocco Foundation kicked off an exciting weekend of community activities (August 14-16) at the campus of Saint Francis Cabrini Parish, bringing families, friends and community members together for a celebration filled with fun, fitness and plenty of Italian spirt.
Saturday featured the foundation’s VIVA Color Run, which drew more than 150 participants. Runners and families came out to enjoy a colorful day while supporting the San Rocco Foundation and its commitment to promoting culture, education and community involvement.

But the highlight of the weekend was the inaugural Children’s Mini Golf Tournament, sponsored by the San Rocco Foundation and held at the Hopewell Windmill.
The event brought together teams of young golfers who hit the course with plenty of enthusiasm as they golfed their way toward the championship.

The atmosphere was filled with smiles, friendly competition and lots of encouragement as the kids took on the course.
A special highlight was having members of the Hopewell Vikings golf team come out to support the young golfers. The Viking athletes shared pointers, offered encouragement and even introduced the kids to a little marshmallow putting- creating plenty of laughs and some unforgettable moments on the course.

For the San Rocco Foundation, the event was about much more than who had the lowest score. It was about bringing children together, introducing them to the game of golf, building friendships and showing the importance of giving back to the community.
Congratulations to all our teams! And a huge thank-you to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored and came out to cheer on the kids.
The San Rocco Foundation is already looking forward to making the Children’s Mini Golf Tournament an even bigger tradition next year.

And we especially love seeing our Viking athletes out and about, giving back and doing good in our community. They are a great example of how sports can be about more than competition- it’s also about character, teamwork and community.
VIVA San Rocco! and VIVA our Vikings!
